Out $500! Don't Trust Square
I have been with square for 5 years. I have a very small massage business with not a whole lot of credit card customers and mostly regulars.
But I had a nrw mobile client that offered me a fair amount to travel to them. So I sent an invoice through square and quickly got an approval. I assumed square got the 3 digit security code, ect. Verifying the client had the c.c.
in hand. I guess square doesn't ask for rhe security code so it could easily be fraud. So i went to the nuce hotel checked in with the front desk and when I got to the room checked his id for my safety. I didnt think I needed to check his id for the c.c.
because square I assumed had at least a security code. A couple of days later square informs me that they want a copy of his i.d. and c.c.I tried and couldnt get back in touch with the out of town client. Anyway with the terrible customer service and obvious lack of concern.
I finally got a hold of a person on Wednesday they got me off the phone by telling me they would resubmit my case they did not 2 days later I find an email that they want the customers information I again called and told them I couldnt get ahold of the client. An hour later they say that by my information they reccomend I refund and call the police.
They believe its stolen, so with no information they decide its a stolen credit card. So now I'm out $500!
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
