Stay far away from this company I had just started a small business and received my initial sales then out of the blue received an email with a notification that I was high risk and they were deactivating my account and to add insult to injury they stated they were holding my money for 90 days which is now threatening my new business I then decided to contact them but to no avail due to the fact that my account was deactivated I was only allowed to email and not talk to the live support team they rave about very bad company!!!! Stay clear bad company! More trouble then convenience!

I have had the absolute worst experience with square! They automatically withdraw funds from your acc. Hold it for 90 days when false claims have been made!!and You have no say in the matter and no one to discuss the issue with but all you can do is hope you get your money back!! Huh highway robbery all day long!!!! I replied to dispute and submitted receipts along with customers signatures as they the card holder handed me their cards signed their names at the time of purchase! But that's not good enough all they kept telling me is that I should purchase the new chip card device!! lol are they serious?? How about give me my money back and I'll think about it!! Square co. Is not for you the customer the are only about the $$ they should have us the customers back 100% and they don't! DO NOT USE SQUARE GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY!

Square recently deactivated my account and is now holding my funds for 90 days. If you start processing bigger payments than what they are used to they will deactivate your account and hold your money!!!!! Under what rights do they have to do this? They don't even have a clause or disclaimer section and if they do they sure do good at keeping it hidden from us. I even provided all the info they requested. With no regard, held my money and deactivated my account. Keep in mind they're doing whatever they desire with my money that belongs to my business. Please be careful, they are scammers.

Totally unjustified deactivation of my account

I have a legitimate medical practice. I in no way have a business that could be construed as a risk, and find it extremely offensive that Square has so deemed it. Without any notification, without any explanation, without any recourse, and without the ability to obtain their necessary "customer code" to be able to speak to anyone, Square deactivated my account. Here is the email they sent: Hello Roberta, Thanks for following up. We understand that this can be a frustrating experience. Unfortunately, our decision to deactivate your account is final. Due to the obligations of our agreements with card networks and other financial institutions, we cannot reverse this decision and are unable to provide additional details. For further information about our policies, you can review the Square Terms of Service on our website (https://squareup.com/legal/ua). Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Alex This is unbelievable behavior and the most irresponsible and worst customer service I have ever encountered. I am waiting for a response to my request for the refund of my $49 for a card reader that I cannot use.

I URGE ALL OF YOUR TO BE CAREFUL FROM THIS PROCESSOR!! THERE WAS A DISPUTE ON MY SQUARE BECAUSE A *** CUSTOMERS THINKING THEY CAN BUY PRODUCTS AND DISPUTE IT LONG STORY SHORT THERE WAS ABOUT 4K PENDING IN MY SQUARE THEY HELD IT FOR 90 DAYS PLUS 60 ADDITIONAL DAYS NOW MIND YOU THE 90 DAYS HAS PASSED AND SO HAS THE ADDITIONAL 60 DAYS AND MY FUNDS YET HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED TO ME!!

SQUARE IS FULL OF *** AND FULL OF SCAM!

I AM MORE THAN SURE THERE ARE WAY MORE BETTER CREDIT CARD PROCESSORS THAN SQUARE! GET YOUR MONEY AND RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!

I have the same experience. They are withholding $2,000 of my funds even after the client wrote emails stating that the dispute was an error on his part.

Imagine, if there's a million of us whose funds Square withhold, they make so much money just with the interest alone. We should probably do a class action suit.

square has frozen about $3000.00 of my money and there is no way to contact them to resolve the problem because they make you get a customer code before they will talk to you. you can't get the customer code untill you jump through all their hoops

Same thing here. This is so frustrating.

First they sent the same auto-response 10 times and now crickets.

A customer with the same last name made a payment and they are insisting the payment was made with my personal credit card. Now they are holding $2000 permanently it seems.

I keep messaging them and now no response. I was doing this all day yesterday too.

I pre ordered the chip reader that bluetooths to your devices. I go to use it for the first time after finally receiving it moths ago just to find out that it doesn't connect to my phone. How can a bluetooth device that runs their register app not be compatible with their hardware? It is BLUETOOTH for God's sake!! I call them up pissed of making me look like a fool to my client when it doesn't work. Just for the new age hippy way of patronizing a person that has every right to be upset. It isn't like I am throwing a tantrum because I didn't get a gummy bear snack in my lunch box. This is a BUSINESS and loss of money we are talking about folks. Do not patronize me or others when you have a *** business that causes us to lose money and clients.

The lady said sorry over and over and over.....number ONE mistake in my eyes!

She offered me a puny 100 dollars of free transactions for my trouble.....number TWO mistake.

She said she would see if their plug in device would be compatible with my phone......I gave her the make and model and sure enough was untested.......number THREE mistake

I told her that I would no longer do business through Square, because when a company *** me off this bad and makes me lose business then they lose my business in return. She got me my info for the return of the product so I can get refunded the 49 dollars I spent....MINUS the shipping and hassles.......number FOUR mistake.

I also got an email about getting 100 dollars of free transactions or 180 days which ever comes first. As often as I need to use it I would end up getting nothing in return......number FIVE mistake.

I have been very insulted. They have tried to pull the fast corporate smooth over a pissed off customer by offering a very tiny offer like I am some child that is a sucker. This to me proves that corporations charge for the value they think they are, but downgrade the consumer with measly offers to say sorry for wasting the consumers valuable time, money, emotions, and well being.

YES Square I do not fall for that slide of hand trick. I cut ties and say good riddance to the corporation that swindles me out of my value! If I did it to wal-mart 25 years ago. I will do it to you. Never again will I do business with you or any subsidiary company you may own.

This company allowed us to take credit card payments for our website for almost a week, the day my deposit was suppose to hit they decided to do some further verification. I replied with the requested information within 30 minutes. After they sent an email advising it would take 1-2 days to go over the information. Approx. 30 minutes later my account was deactivated and we were advised that the funds in the account would be on hold for 90 days!! Yes three months!! We are a small business and depend on those funds. Our company has been in business for almost two years and we are an LLC we also have 90k social media followers on Instagram, we are not a fly by night company!! We have attempted to contact Squareup several times no one will respond and we feel like we are just being ignored. Please, Please ,Please do not put the faith of your company in the hands of Square!! WE NEED OUR MONEY RELEASED IMMEDIATELY!

I want to start a Facebook page to get some attention, This is crazy, I went to their Instagram and Twitter to get some help or attention and guess what?!? I was blocked!!

I emailed them over ten times and emailed all departments. My next step is to flood the founders (Jack) Twitter page. He is also the Founder of Twitter!! We need to band together to get a grater response from them!!!

Please let's help each other!!! This is SO wrong on many levels!!! I could loose my business over this!! The owner is worth billions while I'm here fighting for my small business.

Vape Companies Beware!

My manufacturing lab for e-liquids have been using Square since May, today we found out that they were holding $12,000 of our money! There reasoning was because we are a Vape company. And the only way for us to get our money back is if we leave their company. Don't worry Square we will find a more liable company, and not deal with such a downgrading company as you could possibly be. Don't waste your time with this company, if they are willing to do this to a Vape business then who knows who else they will do it to.

I just had my account closed and my funds put on hold for 90 days. I will gladly join any Class action lawsuit there is against these thieves!

I did nothing wrong, they just said that my account was to "high risk" but yet couldn't explain why.

I had just opened my account and did 3 transactions and just like that it was considered "high risk" and closed! Just doesn't seem right!

Do not get this service. Go with PayPal or someone else. They will *** you over. Your account will randomly get deactivated and you cannot contact them for support. You have to get a code to call them and when your account is deactivated, you cannot get the code. Your money will get tied up in their bs system for 90 days. They don't care. They are horrible. They don't respond to you. Again.... This isn't some disgruntled customer spewing venom,this is someone telling you that if your money and your business are important to you, don't waste your time getting such an incompetent service.

Square maybe easier to obtain, but they are not good for your business. You are better off using paypal and get hit with higher rates than use Square. They can deactivate your account at any time. They will hold your money for longer than 90 days and up to 6 months. It is in the fine print in their terms and conditions. Please don't fall victim to them. If you are interested in getting a real merchant provider with accountability and personalized service, please contact me at purposedriven2015@***.com. We have no application fees, no contracts, no hidden fees, and you will have a dedicated Account Manager. I promise you it is worth it. You can also call me at 404-632-****.
