I was a customer. I cancelled a month ago. I just recieved a charge for the $30 I had signed up for, for appointment setting ability. I can not get through to anyone. When I sign in I get blank screen and no information to contact anyone. I tried the phone number but I need a customer code which I cant get.

Taken for a $500 deposit!

I got bamboozled for $500.....it’s been two weeks since the initial payment and over a week now after I discovered the funds were not in my account! They are corporate theives and I’m BEYOND pissed that they no longer offer phone support for my account and I’ve been reduced to emails in which it takes them days to respond. They are THEIVES. I’m about to join a class action suit that is currently being formed by a group of consumers who have been victimized by this company also. A *** shame!! I will continue to happily use Paypal because I have NO isuues with them and have referred other business owners to them because Square SUCKS. Smh

Closed account for no reason

I had square for years never had a problem. I think i use the card reader 4 times a month. The last time i use it was near the end of October. Out of nowhere i get a email saying my account has been deactivated. Luckly i had to no money being process at the time plus its really nobody to talk too about it. It say it can cancel at anytime for no reason.

Square has put a hold on my money for no reason, they keep on doing it to my account every so often, The Square company has experienced growing pains and gotten a bad reputation for holding merchant funds. STOP USING THEM, DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM OF "SQUARE".

Square just deactivated my account holding $9,700 was able to process a refund to my customer but boy does it make me look *** best for all kinds of information which I supplied to them I asked why they didn't ask for this when I signed up they said because they want to make it as easy as possible for people to sign up absolutely no help over the phone. Filled out a complaint with the California State's Attorney's office but don't know if they can do anything if in fact it class action is starting I would love to be a part of it

I read these other complaints,and all I can do is concur....it's all true,square is a joke....take your business elsewhere,while you still have one. We submitted a 5k charge and square sent the approval email.

Then an email was sent from square asking for additional information,which we complied with. Square said they would issue a decision in 48 hours. Three days later they asked for additional information,which we complied with.

It has now been two weeks with no resolve, calls to customer service get you nowhere.. Businesses accept credit cards as a way of increasing cash flow,Square works against you,not with you

If you want to keep your business don't use Square. We are going thru the same thing, but we haven't cancelled the transaction.

We have over $13,000 still pending in our Square site that hasn't been transferred to our bank account. It's been 15 business days. I have tried many times to call but it says to get a code and we can't get no code. I have sent many emails with no replies from them.

I don't know what's going to happen. i'm afraid it will take a while if I get lucky to get my money back.

Luckily a friend recommended a different merchant service and they even charge less than square and they really have great customer service. Good luck!

I had the same exact issue with square that everyone else is having. Just started an account. Charged my customers' cards. But as soon as I tried to deposit the money over to my account, it was deactivated. This is my first transaction, how can there be any suspicious activity. And if it was suspicious, like everyone says...why even charge the card in the first place. Total ripoff. They are doing the same thing paypal was sued for. They need a class action lawsuit against them. Amd they need to be shut down completely. A bunch of scam artists themselves.

This company is a total ripoff. All of our transactions were swiped. we used it for the first time at a trade show. Upon returning from the trade show they tell us that we have to wait 90 days due to suspicious activity and if we dont like it they will refund all of our customers. We did over $7,000 in credit cards representing over 100 transactions! and they took the product! they have us by the balls and their customer service is non existent! We have sent emails, etc, then they deactivated our account so we had no way of contacting them. how i finally got a hold of someone was buy open ing a new account. Can someone please help? Rod Hatch

Cleary, this is an on going issue with square. I am a new customer and made several transactions, I even sent them documents to support 2 charges.

2 days later they deactivate my account without allowing me to call them! Now they are holding thousands of dollars for 90 days! Fair enough that they want to prevent fraud, but they should ask for supporting documents for questionable charges! There must be a way to sue them for this.

Is there any information anyone can provide?

Square is such a fraud!

This company allowed us to take credit card payments for our website for almost a week, the day my deposit was suppose to hit they decided to do some further verification. I replied with the requested information within 30 minutes. After they sent an email advising it would take 1-2 days to go over the information. Approx. 30 minutes later my account was deactivated and we were advised that the funds in the account would be on hold for 90 days!! Yes three months!! We are a small business and depend on those funds. Our company has been in business for almost two years and we are an LLC we also have 90k social media followers on Instagram, we are not a fly by night company!! We have attempted to contact Squareup several times no one will respond and we feel like we are just being ignored. Please, Please ,Please do not put the faith of your company in the hands of Square!! WE NEED OUR MONEY RELEASED IMMEDIATELY!

I had the same Issue and 2 days before my 90th day of waiting these bastards send me another email holding my money for another 60 days, WOW!!!! They are horrible and they never answer their phones.

I want to start a Facebook page to get some attention, This is crazy, I went to their Instagram and Twitter to get some help or attention and guess what?!? I was blocked!!

I emailed them over ten times and emailed all departments. My next step is to flood the founders (Jack) Twitter page. He is also the Founder of Twitter!! We need to band together to get a grater response from them!!!

Please let's help each other!!! This is SO wrong on many levels!!! I could loose my business over this!! The owner is worth billions while I'm here fighting for my small business.

I will end up without my home and company!!! THIS IS CRAZY!!!!

Same here! This company has really taken money and state they will release in in 90 days, by that time my company will be closed down.

I have a small business and we already have limited funds.

This is so sad!
